Who are we?

Back to Your Roots Beauty is a privately owned and operated make-up and hair business located in Southeastern, Idaho, primarily offering travel services. We will also offer diverse and unique house plants for purchase online and in local markets, expected in the summer of 2027.

Our Backstory:

A recent big move brought my family and me to Driggs, Idaho, where we’ve made our home in the Tetons. During long days of reflection, I realized I wanted to build a business that combined everything I love. Back To Your Roots Beauty began with a simple moment in the shower… the idea that I needed to go “back to my roots” and focus on the things that truly bring me joy: makeup, beauty, and plants.

My life has taken many paths, including some big moves. My cosmetology journey began on the East Coast in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, and I have been a licensed professional cosmetologist for more than ten years. The beauty industry shaped my pre-teen and teenage years: YouTube tutorials, makeup, hair, modeling, and fashion were everything to me. I knew early on that becoming a cosmetologist would give me the lifelong skills to turn that passion into a career. With that goal in mind, I graduated from cosmetology school in 2016.

Shortly after, wanting to continue my education while supporting myself, I worked in a salon to self-finance my way through Virginia Tech. Go Hokies! I graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Horticulture and later earned a Master’s in Agricultural Education.

Makeup, beauty, and plants. Back To Your Roots Beauty blends those three core elements into every service we offer. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, to see and celebrate the beauty within, and to appreciate the natural world around them. I aim to create an inviting, warm, and inclusive space that feels safe and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. I want to collaborate with my clients and bring their visions to life.
